John Wood, BA, JD
Founder & Executive Director
John is a business advisor, scholar, and keynote speaker on sustainability. He has published in the NYU Environmental Law Journal, the NYU Journal of Law and Liberty, several peer-edited law journals, and taught continuing education courses for professionals as well as college courses on sustainability. Prior to founding Econautics, he worked with an array of non-profits on regulatory, energy, land use, and environmental justice matters, including the Institute for Policy Integrity, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the American Conservation Association. John earned his BA in English and Philosophy from Texas Christian University, summa cum laude, and his JD from New York University School of Law. He is a Member of the New York State Bar.
Nada R. Sanders BS, MBA, PhD
Nada is an internationally recognized expert in forecasting, supply chain management, operations, and logistics, with over 50 peer-reviewed publications and multiple textbooks. Nada is now the President Elect of POMS, the Production and Operations Management Society. Nada has consulted with Nike, Dell, AT&T, and Ciba-Corning, and has served as an expert witness for Quinn Emanuel, Jones Day, and other top law firms in commercial litigation. She has designed the curriculum for multiple graduate and MBA programs, including international distance learning and executive education. Nada is a Fellow with the Decision Sciences Institute and serves on the Educational Committee of Supply Chain Leaders in Action. She is Distinguished Professor at D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. Nada earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, M.B.A., and Ph.D. in Operations and Logistics, from The Ohio State University.
Bryan L. Reese BA, JD
Bryan is an Associate in Global Finance at the law firm King & Spalding. He represents arrangers, lenders and borrowers in syndicated credit facilities; first lien, second lien, unitranche and mezzanine; acquisitions; development and project financings, investment grade financings and workouts and restructurings. He has experience in leveraged finance debt capital markets, insolvency/restructuring, private equity and investment funds, asset based, energy, healthcare and media/telecom finance practices. Previously, he worked in the General Counsel’s office of the NYC Department of Small Business Services. Bryan is currently on Secondment assignment with Goldman Sachs. Bryan earned his B.A. in Sociology from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was Staff Editor of the Journal of Law and Business. He is a Member of the New York State Bar.
Ralph Jarvis MBA, MA
Ralph is an author, speaker, and senior consultant on corporate social responsibility (CSR). His experience includes strategic planning, IT, global and complex transformation engagements for the Fortune 500 (e.g., American Airlines, GM, Tricon, etc.). His first book explores Lean Six Sigma with sustainability transformation. His second outlined how to integrate CSR into enterprise’s underpinnings. Ralph earned his Global MBA in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, a Masters of Management with Highest Honors in Management Information Systems from the University of Dallas, and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. He also holds an Executive Certificate in Global CSR, and serves on the Advisory Board of the DFW Innovation Center. Ralph recently completed a graduate extension course at Harvard on Pragmatic Sustainability from Dr. Pojasek, a participant in Ray Anderson's revolutionary Interface Mission Zero project. Ralph is certified in the most recent version of GRI.
James Chao CPA, MBA, CMA
James is a bi-lingual business consultant specializing in risk management and compliance in multi-cultural international business environments. Formerly Senior Financial Analyst at Johnson & Johnson, Associate Finance Manager at Unilever, and Advisory Manager at Ernst & Young, and Senior Manager of Financial Controls at Time, Inc., and Associate Director of Internal Audit at Meredith Corporation, James is now Director of Internal Audit at Cognizant. Expertise also includes strategy, financial modeling, and internal audits. James has experience in a variety of industries, including consumer and industrial products, health care, and e-commerce. James earned his BS in Marketing and International Business from New York University, and his MBA in Finance from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
